SPECTRUM  ANALYSIS  SOFTWARE


Here are some FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) real-time spectrum analysis software that seem suitable to the work of the IARU Monitoring System.
The more technical aspects of this work can involve the following specific applications:
  • viewing the frequency spectrum of unidentified signals,
  • making precise frequency measurements with the help of a calibrator,
  • measuring the shift of frequency-shift-keyed (FSK) printer and data signals,
  • finding the number of channels in multi-channel data signals,
  • looking for "radio fingerprints", such as power supply hum and radio frequency drift.
Each of these applications can help you to identify the modulation a non-Amateur intruding signal.

Most of the computer programs described below are suitable for all of these tasks.
